A 500 strong Edo State Contingent that included the State Honourable Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Aanena Elizabeth Jemitola II yesterday departed Benin City, the Edo State Capital to take part in this year’s Abuja National Cultural Carnival Tagged “Abuja 2011.”
The Abuja Cultural Carnival is an annual ritual for states across the country to show case their rich African Cultures in the Federal Capital City.
Speaking with the Weekend OBSERVER at the dress rehearse before the state contingent departed for Abuja, the Honourable Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Hon. (Mrs.) Aanena Elizabeth Jemitola assured that the state contingent was more than prepared to give Edo State adequate and glorious representation at the carnival fiesta adding that the Comrade Governor want the state to be part of the success story of the Abuja Carnival.
Hon. Jemitola while stating that the public final dress rehearse was™ first of it kind urged people of the state to continue to support the developmental dreams of the Edo State government.
